NYC airport terminal first to win environmental certification

The new terminal B at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport has earned LEED v4 Gold certification, the first airport terminal to meet that higher level of sustainability standards. The $5.1 billion terminal is designed for energy and water conservation and nearly 100% of the debris generated by demolition was recycled.
