The holiday season is offering some positive signs for New York City so far, with some retailers reporting foot traffic and sales are up from pre-pandemic levels. Meanwhile, occupancy at the city’s hotels climbed to 79% during Thanksgiving weekend, down from 2019 but well above 2020’s tally of 38%.
