Occupancy, room rates continue closing in on 2019 mark

US weekly hotel occupancy as of March 20 climbed to 93.9% of last year’s comparable pandemic-affected point and hit the highest level since March of 2020, STR reports. The 58.9% occupancy rate represented a makeup of 85% of the 2019 benchmark, while a rising average daily rate hit 81% of the standard.
