Omni’s convention trade: Full speed ahead, with backup

Omni Hotels & Resorts gave a vote of confidence to the languishing meetings business by opening two convention hotels last year, but the luxury chain is augmenting its specialty with attractions aimed at local stop-ins. An example is the popular French-inspired Coquette, a trendy restaurant tucked into the 1,054-room Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport.
