OPUL Jets Expands in Europe With Quinta Jets Acquisition

UK-based OPUL Jets has acquired Portuguese private jet charter firm Quinta Jets, expanding its footprint in Southern Europe. Quinta Jets operates under the air operator’s certificate (AOC) of OMNI Aviação, based in Cascais, Portugal.
“Portugal is a key destination for our clientele,” said OPUL Jets CEO Chris Wall, noting the acquisition strengthens the company’s access to popular European leisure markets. Quinta Jets is headquartered in Faro, near the exclusive Quinta do Lago resort in the Algarve, a hotspot for luxury tourism.
Quinta Jets currently operates a Learjet 40 and a Learjet 45XR, both configured for up to eight passengers and averaging nearly 17 years of age. The aircraft are registered under OMNI Aviação’s AOC. Quinta Jets’ website also lists a second Learjet 45 that has remained stored at Cascais since 2018.
This latest acquisition comes shortly after OPUL Jets’ takeover of UK-based Zenith Aviation, which included its UK AOC and a fleet comprising a Learjet 45 and two Learjet 75s. OPUL Jets has also listed a Learjet 40 operated under SaxonAir Charter’s AOC and a Global Express operated by Malta’s Av8jet.
The purchase of Quinta Jets is part of OPUL Jets’ broader expansion strategy. In 2024, the company announced intentions to acquire an AOC holder within the European Union to facilitate seamless operations across EU member states. With the integration of Quinta Jets, OPUL Jets strengthens its position in the European private aviation market and extends service coverage to Portugal’s high-demand leisure destinations.
