Østnes Helicopters, the official Airbus Helicopters distributor for the Nordic region, has placed a fresh order for 10 H125 rotorcraft at the European Rotors 2025 exhibition in Cologne. Combined with four H125s ordered earlier this year, the company’s total H125 purchases for 2025 now reach 14 aircraft, Airbus confirmed on November 19, 2025.

Chief sales officer Stine Østnes said the H125 continues to see “strong demand” across the Nordic market. “The H125 delivers on all fronts. This strategic procurement ensures we can maintain short delivery times and offer customers the best availability for the world’s most successful single-engine helicopter,” she said.

Part of the Ecureuil family, the H125 remains the global market leader in the intermediate single-engine helicopter category, holding a 73% market share in 2024. Its performance in challenging environments makes it a preferred choice for utility and aerial work missions throughout the Nordics.

Thomas Hein, head of the Europe region at Airbus Helicopters, said the 14 total orders this year reinforce the model’s dominance in the region. “The H125 is engineered to excel in the most demanding conditions, and these orders affirm its position as the preferred tool for Nordic operators,” he said.

Østnes Helicopters has sold more than 400 helicopters—new and used—across the region and offers full MRO support for the H120, H125 and H130 models. More than 130 H125s currently operate in the Nordic countries, contributing to a global fleet of over 4,300 H125-family helicopters flying in some of the world’s toughest environments.
