Pacers owner leads team seeking Indy hotel complex

A group headed by the owner of the Indiana Pacers is proposing a $250 million mixed-use development with a 16-story hotel near the professional basketball team’s arena in downtown Indianapolis. A spokesman for Herb Simon’s consortium said it has not decided whether to seek public subsidies for the venture, the second development near Gainbridge Fieldhouse that he’s proposed within a month.
