Pandemic shrank US airline workforce by about 60K

The number of people employed by US airlines has rebounded slightly from its low in the fall of 2020 but there were still about 60,000 fewer airline jobs at the end of the year than there were when the coronavirus pandemic hit in March 2020. Airlines employed about 695,000 people in December 2020, compared with 755,000 in March.
