Passenger, cargo airlines coordinate vaccine distribution
CNBC and Delta Air Lines highlighted the critical role US airlines, including American, United, Delta, UPS and FedEx, have in the “crucial supply chain” to facilitate the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines across the country. The videos showcase the role of airlines in “the complex web of shipping and technology” that has mobilized to transport COVID-19 vaccines. “It’s been compared to World War II in the scale of it and how many players and factories and other facilities are coordinating with each other at the same time because it’s such an international crisis,” said CNBC’s airline reporter, Leslie Josephs.
