Paul Gauguin Expands Moana Explorer Kids Program for 2027 Cruises

Paul Gauguin Cruises is bringing back its popular Moana Explorer Program for the seventh consecutive year, offering 12 family-focused voyages in 2027 aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin. Designed for children aged six to 15, the complimentary program blends hands-on learning with adventure, fostering a love for marine life and conservation across the islands of French Polynesia.
Developed in partnership with Te mana o te moana, a leading South Pacific marine education and conservation foundation, the program engages young travelers through guided snorkeling, marine experiments, stargazing, and interactive games led by expert naturalists and conservationists.
“We’re delighted to continue this meaningful collaboration that allows young travelers to better understand and appreciate the marine ecosystems of French Polynesia,” said Laëtitia Bisarah, Operations Director at Te mana o te moana. “Through fun and inspiring activities, we hope to nurture a sense of responsibility and connection to our ocean among the next generation.”
The Moana Explorer Program will be featured on select 2027 summer and holiday voyages, including four 7-night Tahiti & the Society Islands sailings, one 7-night More Society Islands & Tahiti cruise in July, three 10-night More Tuamotus & Society Islands departures in June, August, and December, and two 14-night Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands itineraries. Additional options include 11-night sailings to the Society Islands, Tuamotus, and Cook Islands.
Guests can also still take advantage of the program on remaining 2026 departures, with bookings made before November 15 earning $1,000 in shipboard credit. Children 17 and under sail free when sharing accommodations with their parents.
“Travel opens doors for children to learn, expand their minds, and nurture creativity,” said Susan Robison, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for PONANT Explorations Group Americas. “We’re honored to partner with Te mana o te moana for a seventh year to help preserve French Polynesia’s natural wonders while inspiring future environmental leaders through fun, educational experiences.”
