Paycheck Protection bill revamped to address inequities

The American Rescue Plan’s Paycheck Protection Program has been overhauled with changes to help make the bill more equitable for businesses with less than 20 employees. Restaurants don’t have the added pressure of having to use most loan funds towards payroll — like the original stimulus bill attempted to mandate — and can now use the money to pay for outdoor dining equipment and vendors.
