Pearl Seas Marks 10 Years with New Great Lakes Cruises
Pearl Seas Cruises has officially launched its 2025 season, celebrating a decade of small-ship exploration in the Great Lakes with expanded itineraries and a refreshed vessel. The line’s 210-passenger ship, Pearl Mist, began sailing on May 23 with the 11-night Great Lakes & Georgian Bay cruise departing from Toronto and concluding in Milwaukee. This year’s season highlights the company’s continued commitment to immersive Great Lakes cruising and introduces new voyage options for adventurous travelers.
The newly updated Pearl Mist will offer four distinct itineraries during the 2025 season, departing from key ports including Milwaukee, Duluth, Toronto, and Québec. These journeys will take guests to a total of 16 ports of call across the region, with destinations that include iconic landmarks such as Mackinac Island, Niagara Falls, Parry Sound, and Thunder Bay. One of the season’s standout itineraries is the new 14-night Great Lakes Explorer cruise, which sails between Duluth and Toronto and includes visits to all five Great Lakes—offering a rare and comprehensive exploration of the region.
Pearl Seas Cruises also continues to operate its popular 7-night Great Lakes cruises between Milwaukee and Toronto, and a 15-night St. Lawrence Seaway & Great Lakes itinerary between Milwaukee and Québec. The season is set to run through September, giving travelers ample time to enjoy the scenic beauty and cultural richness of North America’s freshwater coasts.
The launch event included a special onboard ceremony recognizing 25 Pearl Mist crew members who have served since the line’s first Great Lakes sailing in 2014. Shore excursions offered this year include a mix of adventure and local charm, such as sea plane rides, kayaking, museum tours, and horse-drawn carriage rides, all curated to offer a deeper connection to the destinations.
With its milestone anniversary and expanded offerings, Pearl Seas Cruises continues to define luxury small-ship cruising in the Great Lakes, appealing to those seeking relaxed yet enriching travel experiences.
