Philadelphia airport plans major cargo expansion

Philadelphia International Airport is planning a $1.8 billion expansion of its cargo facilities, including 800,000 square feet of additional freight buildings and 10 new parking spots for widebody cargo planes. “Our intention in the next five to ten years is to build the premier cargo facility on the East Coast,” said Stephanie Wear, the airport’s director of air service development and cargo services.
