Philippine Airlines (PAL) has expanded its Vietnam network with the launch of direct flights between Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) and Da Nang International Airport (DAD). The new route officially commenced on July 1, 2025, with flight PR 585 departing Manila at 11:10 a.m. and arriving in Da Nang at 12:30 p.m. local time.

The service begins with three weekly flights operated by the airline’s Airbus A321 aircraft, which offers seating for 199 passengers in both Business Class and Economy Class. By November 2025, PAL plans to increase frequency to four flights per week, responding to growing travel demand.

Da Nang, located in Central Vietnam, has emerged as a top leisure destination thanks to its scenic coastline, cultural heritage, vibrant food scene, and proximity to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Its rising popularity makes it a strategic addition to PAL’s expanding international network.

With the introduction of Da Nang, PAL now operates a total of 24 weekly nonstop flights to Vietnam. This includes service to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, along with three weekly flights from Cebu to Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam has become PAL’s most-served destination within the ASEAN region.

“We at Philippine Airlines are proud to celebrate our inaugural service linking Manila and Da Nang,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall. “This expansion reflects the strong and growing ties between the Philippines and Vietnam, and we look forward to flying more travelers to the gateway of Central Vietnam.”

The launch supports PAL’s ongoing efforts to boost regional connectivity while offering Filipino travelers more options for international getaways.
