MSC World Europa

Experiencing the All-New MSC World Europa
When MSC Cruises named its newest ship — MSC World Europa — in Doha, Qatar this November, the cruise brand pulled out all the stops for its celebration with partner Qatar Airways. The ceremony itself featured a stunning drone show, an impressive light show to music at the front of the ship, presentations by talented local artists and a grand finale performance by Matteo Bocelli, to name a few highlights.

However, the vessel itself actually stole the show due to its modern and beautiful design and its many updated features that are yet to be found on other MSC ships. The MSC World Europa is stylish and contemporary, yet it was designed to be just as family-friendly as the 21 other ships offered by the brand.

Whether you’re considering a trip through the Middle East on MSC World Europa this winter or you’re thinking of booking one of the ship’s Mediterranean itineraries next summer, click ahead to see a photo tour of this incredible ship and its best and most alluring features.

See the World’s Tallest Dry Slide At Sea
The MSC World Europa offers a dramatic outdoor space filled with bars, restaurants and shops, yet this part of the ship is also home to the longest dry slide at sea. This slide spans a total of 11 decks and ends in the ship’s outdoor promenade, and it serves as a central focal point for guests to marvel at.

Several Kids Clubs Keep Children and Teens Entertained
The MSC World Europa boasts dedicated spaces for kids galore. In fact, the ship actually has seven different clubs for children in different age groups — from its baby club for toddlers all the way up to its teen clubs for children up to age 17. Together, the children’s areas found on the MSC World Europa make up the largest kid club area across the entire MSC Cruises fleet.

MSC Cruises Brews Its Own Beer in Two-Story British Pub
The MSC World Europa has a two-story British pub known as the Masters of the Sea, and this pub is actually much more than just a space to throw back a few pints. The ship brews a range of its own beers within a microbrewery at sea, and they do so using their own desalination equipment. As a result, the World Europa has a rather extensive craft beer menu. Plus, wood-paneled walls, expertly detailed furniture and classic pub decor give this pub a unique look and vibe that feels a world away from the typical cruise ship design.

Relax In the Ship’s Huge Pools and Hot Tubs
The ship also has several large pools and hot tubs, including a giant central pool that is the size of two standard cruise ship pools. Several areas for kids are also offered, including a shallow children’s pool and an Aurora Borealis water park for children. A handful of dizzying water slides are offered as well, and the ship has 14 hot tubs in total. Of course, the MSC World Europa also offers a luxurious spa with a popular thermal area.

Enjoy World Class Mixology In the Elixir Lounge
If you love to consume craft cocktails and other unique drinks during your cruise vacation, you’ll want to check out the ship’s Elixir Mixology Bar. This bar offers both indoor and outdoor space for relaxation, as well as its share of elaborate signature cocktails. The Elixir Mixology Bar even has its own “spritz” menu, which offers several different takes on the classic Aperol Spritz.

Visit a Gin-Only Bar
MSC World Europa also has a gin-only bar known as the Gin Project, which offers drinks that extend far beyond the typical gin and tonic. In total, the Gin Project offers 70 craft gins and a range of gin-based cocktails, including the gin fizz and the classic Tom Collins. The Gin Project even lets guests craft their own botanical gin mixture they can bring home and enjoy long after they’ve returned home.

Book a Balcony Cabin with Stunning Views
The fact the MSC World Europa offers an interior promenade means vacationers have a range of new room categories to consider. Options include the Premium Suite with a Promenade and Ocean View, which overlooks both the outdoor common area with the longest dry side as well as the ocean.

Of course, the ship also offers the balcony cabin options you would expect, as well as roomy suites with outdoor whirlpools.

See a Show in the Panorama Lounge
While the MSC World Europa is brimming with lounges and bars, one stand-out option is the stunning Panorama Lounge that can be found at the back of the ship. This lounge spans several stories and offers tiered seating so everyone can have a nice view. A range of music-themed experiences are offered here in addition to pre-dinner drinks, including choreographed live shows meant to entertain and inspire.

Enjoy LED Ceiling Views Along the Grand Promenade
Similar to the MSC Meraviglia and the MSC Bellissima, the new MSC World Europa features an indoor grand promenade where guests from around the world can gather. The indoor “street” is lined with bars, specialty dining options and MSC Cruises signature shops, and it features an LED ceiling that wows guests with light shows and dramatic scenes that change throughout the day and night.

Relax at the Champagne Bar
Like many other MSC Cruises vessels, the MSC World Europa has a roomy champagne bar that serves bubbly along with other decadent drinks and light bites. The Fizz Champagne Bar, as it is called, offers up various champagne and sparkling wine options, a selection of caviar and chilled seafood options for discerning guests.

Race Bumper Cars at Sea
In addition to the ship’s endless pools, bars, lounges and dedicated play spaces for children, the MSC World Europa has a bumper car area that also works for rollerblading when not in use. This part of the ship is near the MSC Sports Plex and the World Europa’s arcades, so it’s easy for families to access when they’re out having fun and looking for something to do.

Discover World Class Gastronomy
The MSC World Europa offers a range of world-class dining options featuring unique gastronomy, and its offerings extend far beyond the normal eateries found in the MSC Cruises Fleet. For example, new restaurants found on board include the Chef’s Garden Kitchen and a La Pescaderia seafood restaurant. Families will also love the Luna Park Pizza & Burger, which offers American-style treats like pizza, cheeseburgers, funnel cakes, pretzels and “Coney dogs” to guests from around the world.

Book the MSC World Europa Owner’s Suite for Ultimate Luxury
Just like other MSC Cruises ships that feature a Yacht Club, the MSC World Europa has an over-the-top Owner’s Suite guests can book when they are looking to splurge. This room category is truly luxurious but also spacious, with more than 1,100 square feet of interior space and a balcony that adds another 519 square feet of usable room.

Visitors who book the Owner’s Suite will also have their own private whirlpool bath, as well as a large walk-in closet with a shoe rack and luggage storage. A separate living space and a huge bathroom with a soaking tub also impress guests.

Upgrade to the Yacht Club for a Superior Cruising Experience
Speaking of Yacht Club, there are plenty of other room categories available in this area of the ship. For example, guests can book the Royal Suite with a Whirlpool Bath or a two-story Duplex Suite with a Whirlpool Bath, to name a few options.

As a reminder, each suite in the MSC World Europa Yacht Club comes with an unlimited drink package, as well as access to a private lounge, pool deck and restaurant for Yacht Club members. The MSC Yacht Club also offers butler service with every room category.
