Piaggio Aerospace has delivered its first P.180 Avanti EVO executive aircraft equipped with an advanced pilot night vision assistance system to a customer in North America. The Italian aircraft manufacturer, which was acquired by Turkish drone maker Baykar in December 2024, announced the sale on March 10, 2025.

The new Avanti EVO features an Enhanced Vision System (EVS) designed to improve pilot visibility during nighttime and low-visibility conditions. The system includes a high-resolution digital camera integrated with infrared technology, providing real-time data to the multifunction displays used by the pilot and co-pilot.

The aircraft was delivered to a young businessman from Missouri, who selected an eight-passenger VIP configuration with a custom grey and blue livery.

Piaggio Aerospace continues production of 11 additional Avanti EVO aircraft at its Villanova d’Albenga facility. The Avanti EVO, known for its efficiency and speed, is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66B engines and features Hartzell five-blade scimitar propellers. It boasts a range of up to 1,800 nautical miles, making it a competitive choice in the executive aviation market.

This delivery comes shortly after the preliminary agreement for Baykar’s acquisition of Piaggio Aero Industries and Piaggio Aviation was signed in January 2025, marking a new phase for the renowned aircraft manufacturer.
