Pictures show Turkish Boeing 777 being painted in IndiGo livery
We reported, back in February 2023, how Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo had started Boeing 777 operations between Delhi (DEL) and Istanbul (IST) using aircraft leased from Turkish Airlines.
The two airlines had already been code-sharing on flights between Istanbul and India for quite some time (a collaboration that, given the different types of onboard product offered by each of the airlines has not been exempt of the occasional friction).
IndiGo is currently operating these flights with aircraft painted in Turkish Airlines livery. This is soon going to change because Turkish Technic is currently repainting the B777s that are going to be assigned to the Indigo operation in the color scheme of the Indian airline.
On March 14, 2023, just weeks after IndiGo’s official announcement, the first images of a Turkish Airlines B777 (registration TC-LKD) being painted in Indigo colors have been shared on the Twitter account of the MRO subsidiary of Turkey’s flag carrier.

While this process is under way, some digitally generated renderings showing how these B777s will look like when they are fully painted have emerged on social media
