Plans filed for Kalahari Resort in Thornburg, Va.

A rezoning request was recently submitted by Kalahari Resort and Conventions for the conversion of an almost 135-acre plot of agricultural land in Thornburg, Va., into a water park resort. Plans for the 267,429-square-foot project include an indoor and outdoor water park, a 156,278-square-foot convention center and a 900-room hotel.
