Porter Airlines has shared details about the high-quality Canadian brands it will be featuring on board as part of the airline’s plan to update its premium in-flight service offering.

The carrier says it is elevating economy air travel for everyone on board its new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft as well as the airline’s existing De Havilland Dash 8-400 fleet from 1 February.

Porter’s partners have been carefully selected for their locality, quality ingredients, brand alignment and sustainability. Kevin Jackson, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Porter Airlines commented: “All of our food and beverage partners are Canadian, deeply passionate about their craft, and have strong relationships within their communities. Porter is aligning our brand with premium partners who emulate our values and the distinct service that we pride ourselves in delivering.

“With a focus on high-quality products, generous service and competitive prices, our passengers will experience economy air travel in a way that no other airline is offering.”

PorterClassic service to continue
Porter says its current signature in-flight service, PorterClassic, will continue to be served on board both the De Havilland Dash 8-400 and Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. The service includes a rotating selection of Beau’s Brewing Company’s craft beer, as well as Jackson-Triggs Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon, tea from Sloane Fine Tea Merchants and freshly brewed arabica bean Balzac’s Coffee Roasters, as well as an assortment of premium snacks.

Fresh food made with healthy ingredients is also available on longer E195-E2 flights, including Canadian cheese from the Cheese Boutique, entrées and side dishes in partnership with local kitchens across Canada and delicious sandwiches prepared on gourmet croissants from Nadège. Additional beverage options include organic wellness shots from Greenhouse and premium pre-mixed cocktails such as an Old Fashioned, Martini and Margarita from Tumbler & Rocks.

Packaged menu items include oatmeal, pasta, noodles, beef jerky and protein bars and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also available on every flight.

In addition, all E195-E2 passengers will have access to a free Viasat Wi-Fi and West Entertainment’s in-flight entertainment content that can be played on personal devices.
