Porto Airport adds eleven new destinations and two new airlines for the summer season

The summer schedule started on 27 March 2022 with plenty of good news. Airlines will be adding eleven new destinations and making five additions to existing routes. Porto Airport will also welcome two new airlines this summer, namely Blue Air and Flyr.

Blue Air will be flying to Bucharest, in Romania, which is a new connection to a new country for the Airport. Flyr will be going to Oslo in Norway. Ryanair adds Agadir and Fez in Morocco, Bari and Verona in Italy, Billund in Denmark, and Bergerac in France. easyJet will be flying Porto Santo and Prague, and Eurowings adds Stuttgart.

Regarding new operations on existing routes, the Airport will have: Cologne and Madrid with easyjet, Ponta Delgada with Transavia, Hamburg with Eurowings and Milan Malpensa with Wizz Air. Also, Lufthansa will launch a new daily frequency to Munich, Turkish with up to ten weekly flights, British Airways with up to sixteen weekly frequencies to London Heathrow, KLM now operates three daily flights throughout the entire season and Iberia and Air Europa are both back to pre-pandemic frequencies with three daily flights each to Madrid.

Recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic can also be seen at porto Airport. Several routes recommenced after having been pause for some time, such as:

The Airport will be directly connected with ninety destinations offered by a total of twenty-five passenger airlines.
