Posh hotel in works for UK’s noted Selfridges store

The new owners of the luxury Selfridges department stores operating in Europe and Canada plan to open an upscale hotel in the chain’s flagship London location. Signa, an Austrian real estate group, and Central Group, a Thai retailer, hope to spur a revival of UK tourism, which plunged 97% last year from 2020.
