Pratt & Whitney Canada has announced plans for a new manufacturing facility in Casablanca, Morocco, during the Paris Air Show. The manufacturing facility is set to begin construction at the end of this year, with the expected launch in 2025.

The new facility will manufacture detailed static and structural machined parts for various engine models. The introduction of the 130,000 sq ft green fuel facility will produce 200 new jobs by 2030, providing additional opportunities for growth and sustainable economic development.

“Today, we are celebrating a significant project in the Moroccan aerospace industry,” said Ali Seddiki, General Manager of AMDIE, the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development.

“It’s a major step for our local industry, which is moving towards new opportunities in innovative and technological activities that will benefit our economy and society,” added Seddiki.

“Pratt & Whitney Morocco will be a vital part of our ability to produce engines to meet the strong demand that we’re all enjoying,” said Maria Della Posta, President of Pratt & Whitney Canada. “Today, we have over 3,000 engines flying on the continent and operating in so many crucial missions.

“This key investment in Morocco will bring us closer to our African customer base and partners, allowing us to further support the aerospace growth on the continent and around the world.”
