Princess Cruises Cancels 2026 World Cruise, Launches New Voyage
Princess Cruises has announced the cancellation of its 2026 world cruise due to ongoing Houthi rebel attacks in the Red Sea. In place of this itinerary, the cruise line will offer a new 131-day “Circle Pacific Voyage” that will take travelers to 60 ports across 19 countries in the Pacific Ocean.
Departing on January 5, 2026, from Fort Lauderdale aboard the Coral Princess, the voyage will include exciting destinations in Hawaii, French Polynesia, the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Alaska. The cruise will also traverse the Pacific Coast of North America before concluding in Los Angeles on May 16, 2026.
Princess Cruises stated that the decision to cancel the world cruise was made after extensive consultations with global security experts and government authorities. The cruise line is reaching out to guests who had already booked the 2026 world cruise to provide updates.
John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises, emphasized the allure of the new itinerary: “This Circle Pacific Voyage is more than just an itinerary; it’s an invitation to explore some of the Pacific’s most iconic and remote destinations in a single, unforgettable journey.” He noted that the route is designed to showcase the beauty, culture, and diversity of the 19 countries included in the voyage.
For those interested in shorter segments, various options will also be available for booking. Travelers who reserve their spots by December 31 will benefit from early booking perks, including premium beverages, unlimited specialty dining, crew gratuities, MedallionNet Max WiFi, unlimited juice bar and specialty coffee, premium desserts, unlimited fitness classes, a photo package, EZair airfare, and up to $500 in onboard credits.
With these changes, Princess Cruises continues to offer memorable experiences while ensuring the safety of its guests.
