Princess Cruises is poised to redefine the Alaska cruise experience in 2026 by introducing its latest and most innovative vessel, the Star Princess. This move is part of the cruise line’s broader strategy to bolster its leadership in Alaskan voyages, as evidenced by their expansive offering of 180 departures across eight ships, visiting 19 captivating destinations in the region. Scheduled to begin sailing in fall 2025, the Star Princess will be the pioneering Sphere Class ship to navigate the majestic waters of Alaska, following the launch of its sister ship, the Sun Princess, earlier in the spring.

Bookings for the 2026 season will open on August 1, with an enticing early booking incentive. Travelers who secure their reservations by September 2 will benefit from Princess Cruises’ “Better Than Best Price Guarantee.” This promotion ensures guests not only receive the best rates but also an additional 120 percent of the price difference as onboard credit if a lower rate is found before the final payment is made.

In addition to a variety of departure ports—including Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Whittier—Princess Cruises offers an extensive selection of cruisetours. These include more than 20 options for 2026, allowing guests to explore further inland, such as Denali National Park, and enjoy stays at Princess-owned wilderness lodges. Onboard, passengers will be treated to a wealth of activities and educational opportunities. From “Cook My Catch,” an exclusive fishing and dining experience, to naturalist talks and a planetarium showing the Northern Lights, the offerings are designed to enhance guests’ understanding and appreciation of Alaska’s rich heritage and stunning landscapes.
