Princess Cruises is off to a remarkable start in 2024, announcing record-breaking bookings for Alaska cruises in January. The renowned cruise line reported an unprecedented surge in demand for voyages to the Last Frontier, with bookings surpassing all previous January records by over 20 percent.

Celebrating its 55th year of navigating the pristine waters of Alaska, Princess Cruises continues to captivate travelers with the allure of its breathtaking landscapes, untouched natural beauty, and abundant wildlife. According to Terry Thornton, Chief Commercial Officer for Princess Cruises, Alaska offers an experience that goes beyond a mere vacation—it’s an unforgettable adventure.

“The overwhelming interest in Alaska highlights the allure of this destination as more than just a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” remarks Thornton. “As demand continues to soar, it’s crucial for travelers to secure their Alaska adventure for the upcoming summer season while there is still availability.”

While Princess Cruises still has spots available for Alaska cruises in both 2024 and 2025, the company urges prospective travelers to act swiftly to secure their preferred staterooms and take advantage of the best deals. With cruise durations ranging from four to 22 days, passengers can also enhance their journey by opting for cruisetours, extending their exploration on land. Departures for Alaska cruises are available from San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Whittier, and Los Angeles.

Princess Cruises’ record-breaking achievement comes amidst the annual wave season—a period running from January to March when cruise lines offer enticing savings and promotions. Notably, other leading cruise companies like Holland America Line and Royal Caribbean Group are also experiencing robust wave seasons, signaling a promising start to the year for the cruising industry.
