Princess Cruises Shares Coronation Details for Sky Princess and Regal Princess Ships

Two Princess Cruises ships will take part in celebrating the United Kingdom’s coronation of King Charles III this May with live coverage and other celebratory events.

The Sky Princess’ Coronation celebration will take place during its 7-night cruise to Spain and France from Southampton, departing May 6. It will visit the destinations of Guernsey, Bilbao and La Coruna.

The Regal Princess’ Coronation celebration will take place during an 8-night cruise to Ireland and Scotland from Southampton, departing April 30. It will visit the destinations of Portland, Guernsey, Cork, Greenock (for Glasgow) and Holyhead.

Both ships will feature live coverage of ‘The Coronation Service at Westminster’ and ‘The Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle’ on May 6 on the ships’ 300-square-foot jumbotron. ‘The Biggest Street Party’ will be on the top deck, while both ships will be decorated for the occasion.

The ships will also feature a ‘Royal Afternoon Tea’ featuring British classics like Victoria sponge cake, while the World Fresh Marketplace will have beloved British fare like trifle and fish and chips.

Both ships will also have talks from guest speaker Grant Harrold, former butler of the King. The Regal Princess will welcome Harrold on May 3-5, while the Sky Princess will do so on May 6-13.

An exclusive for guests aboard the Regal Princess is a stop at Holyhead in Wales on May 6, the day of the coronation.

The Sky Princess will feature Coronation-themed entertainment, including a tribute to Elton John, ‘Royal Trivia’ games in Princess Live! and much more.
