Project to advance hybrid-electric aircraft propulsion

Pratt & Whitney and Collins Aerospace have launched a hybrid-electric propulsion technology program, to be based at the Raytheon Technologies Research Center in Connecticut. “Hybrid-electric offers the potential to not only unlock even greater efficiency in future aircraft but also support the emergence of a new arena of advanced air mobility solutions,” said Geoff Hunt, senior vice president of engineering and technology at Pratt & Whitney.
