Q2 brings boom in hotel sales volume, prices
The historically rapid rebound of the US economy is reflected in lodging transactions, with the second quarter volume of trades growing tenfold, and dollar amount 19-fold, over 2020, according to the LW Hospitality Advisors (LWHA) Q2 2021 Major US Hotel Sales Survey. Activity this year increased substantially over 2019 as well, with a remarkable spike in prices exceeding $1 million per room at four properties.
