Qantas long-haul flight attendants warn they’ll leave the airline
Nearly three-quarters of Qantas international cabin crew say they would need to look for a new job if a controversial proposal to terminate the enterprise agreement that governs the employment conditions of long-haul cabin crew goes through.
The survey conducted by the Transport Workers’ Union (TWU) and Flight Attendants’ Association of Australia canvassed 1,300 Qantas long-haul cabin crew and says some cabin crew would see their pay cut by up to 37% if Qantas successfully terminated the existing enterprise agreement.74% of respondents say they would need to look for a new job if the existing agreement was terminated.
