Qatar Airways, the leading state-owned flag carrier of Qatar, has unveiled its plans to introduce flights to two new Saudi Arabian destinations: Al-Ula and Tabuk. This expansion initiative aligns with the airline’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the Kingdom and re-establish its services to Yanbu.

As part of its commitment to providing travelers with exceptional service and connectivity, Qatar Airways is set to launch flights to Al-Ula and Tabuk in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Ula: Commencing from October 29, 2023, the historic city of Al-Ula will be served with two weekly flights. Al-Ula boasts the country’s inaugural UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hegra, featuring well-preserved tombs carved into sandstone cliffs by the ancient Nabataean civilization. The city also enchants visitors with its breathtaking natural landscapes, including the Al-Khuraymat mountains and the Wadi al-Qura oasis.

Tabuk: Beginning December 14, 2023, Tabuk, situated near the Jordanian border, will see three weekly flights. Tabuk is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and natural wonders, encompassing attractions like Tabuk Castle, the Al-Tawba Mosque, the scenic Wadi Dam, and the majestic Tayeb Al-Ism mountains. It also serves as a gateway to the Red Sea coast, where travelers can indulge in diving, snorkeling, and beach activities.

Qatar Airways anticipates that the addition of these routes will not only offer travelers increased convenience and choice but will also bolster economic and cultural connections between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The airline aims to facilitate seamless global connectivity, with passengers benefiting from access to over 160 destinations worldwide via its hub in Doha.

Passengers traveling on the new routes to Al-Ula and Tabuk will experience comfort and sustainability. Qatar Airways will operate these flights using its Airbus A321neoLR aircraft, which accommodates 199 passengers in a two-class configuration. The aircraft features a redesigned cabin offering leather seats, mood-enhancing lighting, individual touch screens, and USB ports. Furthermore, the A321neoLR is renowned for its enhanced fuel efficiency and eco-friendly design, aligning with the airline’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Qatar Airways continues to play a pivotal role in expanding travel options, promoting cultural exchange, and supporting economic ties between nations. These new routes underscore the airline’s dedication to providing exceptional travel experiences and strengthening its presence in Saudi Arabia.
