Qatar Airways Launches New Route to Toronto
Qatar Airways is set to enhance its North American presence by launching a new route between Doha International Airport (DOH) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), starting December 11, 2024. This marks Qatar Airways’ second destination in Canada, complementing its existing service to Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, which operates daily flights from Doha.
The DOH-YYZ service will operate three times weekly, utilizing the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This aircraft is configured to accommodate 354 passengers, including 42 business-class seats, ensuring a comfortable travel experience for all travelers. With the addition of Toronto, Qatar Airways will expand its network in the Americas, bringing the total number of destinations in this region to 14.
Qatar Airways emphasizes that the new route will provide enhanced connectivity for Canadian travelers. Passengers flying from Toronto will benefit from seamless one-stop connections to various destinations around the world via the Doha hub. This strategic expansion reflects Qatar Airways’ ongoing commitment to serving its Canadian customers and establishing a stronger foothold in the Americas.
“We are excited to introduce our Toronto route, which demonstrates Qatar Airways’ strong and enduring commitment to providing enhanced connectivity for our Canadian customers,” said Mohammed Al-Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways. He further noted the airline’s dedication to maintaining a “key presence” in the Americas, reinforcing its role as a global airline leader.
