Qatar Airways made a major statement at the 2025 UEFA Champions League Final, not only serving as the official tournament sponsor but also sponsoring both competing teams, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan. Capping off its involvement in spectacular fashion, the airline revealed a special PSG-themed livery on one of its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft the morning after the final, used to fly the victorious PSG team back to Paris.

The specially painted aircraft, registered A7-BED, features a bold navy blue fuselage with white Qatar Airways titles. The livery also includes the official UEFA Champions League logo placed prominently near the cockpit, showcasing the airline’s deep involvement in the tournament. The rear section of the aircraft retains the carrier’s signature grey and crimson color scheme.

The jet had been flown from Doha to Haikou, China, on May 7, 2025, for a full strip-down and respray before returning to Doha on May 28. It then positioned to Munich ahead of the final. On June 1, the aircraft transported PSG players, staff, and the Champions League trophy from Munich-Jozef Straus Airport to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The flight, designated QR5PSG, commemorated the team’s historic 5–0 win over Inter Milan, the largest margin of victory in a Champions League final.

The aircraft’s arrival in Paris was followed by a city-wide celebration and victory parade. Qatar Airways’ commemorative livery serves not only as a tribute to PSG’s triumph but also as a visual emblem of the airline’s growing influence in global sports sponsorships.
