The Radisson Hotel Group has agreed to join corporate lodging platform HRS’ Green Stay Initiative, HRS announced Wednesday. The platform allows HRS users to choose hotels based on sustainability scores calculated by HRS.

Radisson gradually will begin adding its more than 1,100 properties globally to the GSI platform, starting with European properties this quarter, the company said in a statement.

Radisson has committed to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 based by utilizing a “combination of Hotel Sustainability Basics, recognized eco-labels and unique value propositions such as 100 percent carbon-neutral Radisson Meetings,” Radisson SVP of revenue management Gianni Di Fede said in a statement.

“Using this technology simplifies RFP-related administrative processes with HRS corporate clients, which supports our hotels at a time when corporate transient and meeting volume ramps up in 2023.”

Radisson joins the ranks of Green Stay participants Marriott International, Accor, NH Hotel Group, Leonardo Hotels, Indian Hotels Co., Camino Real Hotels and Intercity Hotels of Brazil. HRS launched the Green Stay initiative in March 2021.
