Redevelopment project with hotel advances in UK

Plans to redevelop the Galleries Shopping Centre in Wigan, England, into a new leisure complex have been approved, with work expected to begin in January. The $181.8 million project will include a hotel, a market hall and a multimedia center with an indoor mini-golf course, a 10-lane bowling alley, a multiscreen cinema, a multipurpose venue and new food and drink outlets.
