Renewal with hotel set for Wigan, England, complex

Contractor BCEGI has reached an agreement with joint venture partner Cityheart and Wigan Council to demolish and redevelop the 440,000-square-foot Galleries Shopping Centre in Wigan, England. The $162 million project includes a new hotel, a market building, 265 homes and a multimedia center with a multipurpose event space, a bowling alley and a cinema.
