Resort, convention center project in California advances

Work started Wednesday on the new Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The resort will form part of the Chula Vista Bayfront project and include a pool with a water slide and a lazy river, as well as a village area, a spa, a 1,600-room hotel and recreational facilities.
