The near-century-old Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco’s Union Square is poised to reopen with near-completion of a wholesale renovation, sources say. Closed since spring 2020, the 416-room, four-star landmark was sold by real estate investment trust Pebblebrook Hotel Trust to Northview Hotel Group and partner Angelo Gordon for $157.6 million last April.
