Rio Hotel & Casino Embarks on a Transformation to Join the World of Hyatt in Las Vegas
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled an exciting development for World of Hyatt members—the inclusion of the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas into its loyalty program. This iconic property is set for a remarkable transformation, with a $340 million renovation plan that will see it become part of Hyatt’s Independent Collection as a Destination by Hyatt hotel.
The transformation, which is already underway, will be executed in multiple phases. The first phase, expected to conclude this fall, will officially welcome the all-suite hotel into the Destination by Hyatt brand. This marks a significant milestone as the property becomes the first of its kind in Nevada and the third Hyatt hotel within the Las Vegas area, expanding the options for Hyatt members in this vibrant city.
David Tarr, Senior Vice President at Hyatt, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting that Destination by Hyatt hotels pride themselves on their individuality and deep connection to their locales. The Rio Hotel & Casino’s renovation is anticipated to embody these values fully, offering guests an experience that truly reflects the essence of Las Vegas.
The extensive renovation plan includes a comprehensive redesign and refresh of the hotel’s amenities, offerings, and services. Guests can look forward to a revamped arrival experience, exterior, lobby, gaming floor, sportsbook, dining venues, meeting spaces, and outdoor pool area. The second phase will focus on a thorough renovation of the Masquerade Tower’s 1,012 guestrooms and public spaces, promising a modern and immersive stay experience.
Hyatt’s commitment to providing World of Hyatt members and guests with authentic and memorable experiences is at the heart of this project. As part of this commitment, World of Hyatt is offering an enticing promotion of 500 Bonus Points for every qualifying night at the Rio Hotel & Casino from April 1 to June 30, as a welcome gesture for this new addition.
This transformation not only signifies a revitalization of the renowned Rio Hotel & Casino but also represents an opportunity for guests to engage with Las Vegas in a novel and purposeful way, infused with the distinctive charm and service that the Destination by Hyatt brand is known for.
