Ritz-Carlton to Open Luxury Resort in St. Kitts by 2028
The government of St. Kitts and Nevis, in partnership with Ritz-Carlton and developer Solidus Corp, has announced plans to construct a 135-room Ritz-Carlton Resort and Residences. Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2025, with the grand opening anticipated in 2028.
Located on St. Kitts’ Southeast Peninsula, the resort will feature 125 guest suites, 10 branded villas, and 15 branded condominium residences. Public spaces will include a spa, multiple swimming pools, dining venues, a Ritz-Carlton beach, and kids’ clubs, all designed within a “Kittitian Village” concept that highlights the island’s culture and charm.
Elevating Luxury Tourism
“This exclusive destination will not only elevate St. Kitts as a luxury destination but is also anticipated to create significant opportunities for our people,” said Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis.
Tourism Minister Marsha T. Henderson added, “We are thrilled to see this vision come to life and the transformative impact it will have on our people and our tourism industry.”
Partnership and Development
The project follows a management agreement between developer Solidus Corp, Ritz-Carlton owner Marriott International, and local authorities. The resort will resume plans for a Ritz-Carlton property initially announced in 2018 but stalled due to lack of progress.
“This project marks a significant milestone in our commitment to bringing unparalleled luxury and service to St. Kitts,” said Pamela Vasquez, Director of Development for Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America.
With its unique design, elevated amenities, and luxury branding, the Ritz-Carlton Resort is set to redefine St. Kitts as a premier destination in the Caribbean.
