Riviera Travel Expands with New Mekong Ship

Riviera Travel is set to debut its first ship outside Europe with the launch of Riviera Alba on the Mekong River in 2027. The new vessel marks the company’s expansion into Asia, offering a luxury river cruise experience through Vietnam and Cambodia.
Riviera Alba will accommodate up to 50 guests across 25 suites, each designed for comfort and style. Onboard amenities will include a sun deck with pool and jacuzzi, a spa, a main restaurant featuring international and Asian cuisines, a lounge bar, a library, and a coffee and tea lounge. Complimentary WiFi and a high crew-to-guest ratio aim to enhance the personalized experience for travelers.
The ship will sail a 13-night itinerary exploring both iconic and lesser-known destinations along the Mekong. Highlights include guided visits to Phnom Penh, the temples of Angkor, and cultural stops at smaller ports. Guests can choose from more than 14 guided excursions, with departures scheduled between September and December 2027. Prices start at $5,049 per person.
Alongside this launch, Riviera Travel has opened bookings for its 2027 season, which introduces two new solo itineraries—“Budapest to the Black Sea” and “Cruise the Heart of Europe.” The company also announced plans to dedicate an entire vessel exclusively to solo travelers beginning in 2027.
To encourage early bookings, travelers reserving by November 16 can save up to 50 percent on brochure rates, with additional airfare credits available for select 2026 cruises when booking through Riviera.
