Royal Caribbean International has announced a $100 million refurbishment for its ship, Allure of the Seas, set to be completed by April 2025. The ship, which originally launched in 2010, will offer 7-night cruises in the western Mediterranean from Barcelona following the makeover.

Jay Schneider, Chief Product Innovation Officer for Royal Caribbean International, promises that Allure of the Seas will be reimagined with Royal Caribbean’s top features and guest favorites.

The renovation will introduce 35 new food and beverage concepts, including the popular Pesky Parrot tiki bar, which first appeared on Utopia of the Seas. The ship will also boast the 10-story Ultimate Abyss dry slide, racing waterslides, resort-style pools, and an escape room.

Among the highlights will be the addition of Ultimate Panoramic Suites, located above the bridge. These suites will feature 200-degree panoramic views, floor-to-ceiling windows, and over 900 square feet of living space, along with exclusive Royal Suite Class amenities like a “Royal Genie” concierge.

Royal Caribbean last refurbished Oasis of the Seas in 2019 and has since launched Odyssey of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas, Icon of the Seas, and Utopia of the Seas. In spring and summer 2025, Allure of the Seas will be one of six Royal Caribbean ships cruising in Europe. The ship will move to Fort Lauderdale in November 2025, offering 6- to 8-night cruises to the eastern Caribbean and The Bahamas.
