Royal Caribbean Group is expanding its fleet with the order of its seventh Oasis Class ship, scheduled to make its grand debut in 2028. The construction of this yet-to-be-named vessel will be undertaken by the renowned French shipbuilder Chantiers de l’Atlantique, known for their expertise in crafting some of the world’s most innovative and largest cruise ships.

This announcement follows the successful maiden voyages of three new additions to the Royal Caribbean Group’s fleet: Silversea’s Silver Nova, Celebrity Cruise Line’s Celebrity Ascent, and Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, which embarked on its inaugural journey in late January. The next to join the impressive lineup of Oasis Class ships is Utopia of the Seas, eagerly awaited this coming summer.

Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, expressed excitement about the future of the Oasis Class series, emphasizing the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of the cruise experience. “While we eagerly anticipate the debut of Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas this summer, we’re already dreaming up her sister ship and the next installation in the brand’s extremely popular Oasis Class,” Liberty stated. “Across our three brands, we are focused on continuously challenging ourselves to deliver the ultimate vacation experience.”

The Oasis Class ships are celebrated for their groundbreaking design, including the unique neighborhood concept, a split superstructure, and a wide array of entertainment options that span air, ice, water, and stage performances. These vessels represent the pinnacle of Royal Caribbean’s innovative approach to cruise ship design, offering guests unparalleled experiences at sea.

As the details of the new Oasis Class ship are yet to be unveiled, anticipation builds for what promises to be another remarkable addition to the Royal Caribbean fleet. The company has also opened its itineraries through the 2025-26 booking season, allowing guests to plan their future sea adventures with Royal Caribbean. The introduction of the seventh Oasis Class ship in 2028 will continue to solidify Royal Caribbean’s position as a leader in the cruise industry, offering vacationers the ultimate experience in luxury, adventure, and innovation on the high seas.
