Royal Caribbean International has unveiled the first details of its newest ship, Legend of the Seas, set to debut in July 2026. The latest addition to the fleet will feature eight themed neighborhoods, 28 dining venues, world-class entertainment, and new adventures designed to elevate the cruise experience for guests of all ages.

Legend of the Seas will launch with seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia) during summer 2026. In November, the ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale to begin six-night Western Caribbean and eight-night Southern Caribbean sailings, each including a stop at Royal Caribbean’s award-winning private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

“With Legend of the Seas, we’re bringing to life our most legendary vacation yet,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International. “Guests can expect more of what they already love—immersive experiences, unforgettable destinations, and adventures designed to connect families and friends.”

Dining highlights include the Royal Railway – Legend Station, first introduced on Utopia of the Seas, offering an immersive, themed dining experience blending cuisine, technology, and storytelling. The new Hollywoodland Supper Club will evoke the golden age of cinema, while the AquaDome Market food hall will feature five new all-day eateries and a juice and smoothie bar.

Entertainment will be equally grand, with a sea debut of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical in the Royal Theater. The AquaTheater will showcase divers, aerialists, robots, and dancers, while Absolute Zero—the largest ice arena at sea—will host dazzling skating performances.

Adventure seekers can explore Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea, featuring six slides, or experience the adrenaline-pumping Crown’s Edge skywalk and zipline. The ship will also include mini golf at Lost Dunes, seven pools, 10 whirlpools, and a towering rock-climbing wall at Adrenaline Peak.

Luxury travelers can retreat to the redesigned three-story Ultimate Family Townhouse or the exclusive Suite Neighborhood.

Powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), Legend of the Seas will be Royal Caribbean’s fourth LNG-fueled ship, equipped with waste heat recovery and shore power systems—furthering the company’s commitment to sustainability and cleaner cruising innovation.
