Building on the success of Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean International has announced plans to create a new private destination in Mexico, called Perfect Day Mexico. The new location will be situated in Mahahual, on Mexico’s Caribbean coast, and is scheduled to open in 2027.

“Perfect Day at CocoCay has been a game changer for both our guests and our business,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group. He emphasized the importance of unique experiences in driving traveler decisions, expressing excitement for expanding the Perfect Day Collection with this new destination in the Western Caribbean.

Since opening in 2019, Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas has become Royal Caribbean’s most popular global destination, attracting guests from around the world. Its success has even led to visits by sister brand Celebrity Cruises earlier this year. Royal Caribbean also operates another private destination in Labadee, Haiti, and is developing two more beach experiences in the Bahamas and Mexico—Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau, set to debut in 2025, and Royal Beach Club Cozumel, scheduled for 2026.

While more details about Perfect Day Mexico will be revealed in the coming months, the company has already confirmed that the destination will be developed sustainably in partnership with the local government and community. Mara Lezama, governor of Quintana Roo, expressed excitement about the project, highlighting the economic and cultural benefits it will bring to the region.

As Royal Caribbean continues to expand its private destination offerings, Perfect Day Mexico is expected to deliver unparalleled experiences for guests exploring the Western Caribbean.
