Odyssey of Seas
Royal Caribbean’s newest ship – Odyssey of the Seas – began sailing this past summer and recently held its naming ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The twenty-fifth ship in operation for Royal Caribbean and part of the Quantum Ultra Class, Odyssey of the Seas boasts an array of family-fun activities and entertainment. With so much to do onboard though, you might not even want to get off the ship while at port.

Royal Esplanade – Deck 4
The Royal Esplanade welcomes guests onboard with a variety of shops for all price ranges. From luxury jewelry and watches to more modestly priced souvenirs. This is a great place to peruse if you arrive early and your room isn’t quite ready yet.

Lime & Coconut – Deck 14 & 15
Broken up into multiple bars near each of the pools, the Lime & Coconut makes delicious adult beverages. They even have Pusser’s rum – essential in making a Painkiller, a signature drink in the British Virgin Islands.

Pool – Deck 14
Odyssey of the Seas has two main outdoor pools with smaller jacuzzis located nearby. Splitting up the pools gives guests the chance to spread out more and never feeling as though the pool area is overcrowded.

Splashaway Bay – Deck 14
A child’s paradise – Splashaway Bay has all the fun regalia of a splash pad and miniature waterpark in one. There are also life vests provided.

Solarium – Deck 14
The Solarium offers a peaceful escape with an indoor pool. The covering window panels let in plenty of light and offer occupants protection against harsh UV rays. The Solarium also has its own pool bar and plenty of lounge chairs.

Music Hall – Deck 3 & 4
Outfitted with comfortable lounge chairs, its own bar and large stage, the Music Hall is a can’t miss venue while onboard. Choose from seating at stage level or climb the spiral staircase for a bird’s-eye view of the stage.

Boleros – Deck 4
Another phenomenal lounge, Boleros has nightly entertainment. Be ready to get up and dance to lively salsa music, smooth jazz and more – show times can be found in the Royal Caribbean app.

Cafe Promenade – Deck 4
A perfect spot to grab a quick bite before getting off the ship or seeing a show, Cafe Promenade has delicious sandwiches and cafe seating which is a great location for people watching.

Crown & Compass Pub – Deck 4
There are bar areas located all over the ship with different theming and ambiance. Crown & Compass is ideal for grabbing a pint of Newcastle and relaxing with your travel companions.

Playmakers – Deck 16
For the sports fans, Playmakers is a must. There are TVs in every corner, a substantial bar area, additional tables and mouthwatering bar food.

Schooner Bar – Deck 5
Be prepared to be serenaded by a grand piano at Schooner Bar – complete with its own set of signature cocktails.

Bionic Bar – Deck 5
Not wanting any human interaction? Just input your drink order into a tablet and have one of two robotic arms precisely measure out your ideal beverage. Kids can even enjoy this one with Shirley Temples.

Main Dining – Deck 3 & 4
Not to be missed is the Main Dining. Guests are assigned a dining time – located in their Royal Caribbean app – and are invited to enjoy a multi-course restaurant experience.

The Royal Theater – Decks 4 & 5
“Showgirl” is currently running at The Royal Theater onboard Odyssey of the Seas with lively costumes and catchy tunes.

Teppanyaki – Deck 14
Guests have the option to eat at an array of specialty dining while onboard – reservations are required and each has an additional fee. At Teppanyaki, visitors get to enjoy hibachi-style dining with the classics like ginger dressing salad, Miso soup and fried rice with your choice of protein. The restaurant also offers signature sushi rolls and not-to-be-missed desserts.

Izumi – Deck 5
Another specialty dining option, Izumi is a sushi bar with carefully crafted sashimi and nigiri in addition to well-loved sushi favorites. Pair with one of their perfectly curated sake cocktails.

Wonderland – Deck 5
The experience is just as important as the food at Wonderland – another specialty dining option while onboard. Guests get to reveal their menu with a paintbrush and water before enjoying a meal built to wow.

Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen – Deck 5
The pizza is the star at Giovanni’s, but guests can also enjoy other Italian favorites like carbonara, chicken parmigiana, alfredo, charcuterie, calamari and more. Just be sure to save room for the chocolate ravioli or try the banana and Nutella dessert stromboli.

Two70 – Deck 5 & 6
Innovation and technology come together to create a truly unique performance at Two70 – the second theater space on Odyssey of the Seas. Computerized panels from the ceiling move in harmony to enhance the theatrical performances while drones make their way out over the audience during the nighttime shows. This space can also be enjoyed during the day with panoramic 270-degree views of the ocean.

El Loco Fresh – Deck 14
Located near the pool, El Loco Fresh is a great place to grab a bite to eat. Customize your burrito, nachos, quesadilla or Mexican bowl with fresh ingredients.

Windjammer – Deck 14
Open for all meals, Windjammer is a buffet-style restaurant with a plethora of options. With current COVID protocols in place, staff help to serve guests at each of the stations. Don’t be surprised to find lobster tails, made-to-order crepes, a waffle bar, delicious Jamaican jerk stew and more here. There’s even a kids’ area with staples like hotdogs, hamburgers and french fries for the pickier eaters. At the front is a specialty coffee bar.

Vitality at Sea Spa & Salon – Deck 15
Take relaxation to a whole other level at the Vitality at Sea Spa & Salon. Be pampered with a massage, pedicure and more here.

Casino – Deck 3
With a multitude of slot machines and fan-favorite betting tables, it’s easy to lose track of time at this casino.

SeaPlex – Deck 15
A large indoor activity complex, SeaPlex is where you can find bumper cars, basketball courts, arcade and more. There’s even a space for laser tag and virtual reality gaming.

Rock Climbing Wall – Deck 15
For those really adventurous souls, the rock climbing wall allows guests to scale the side of the ship while overlooking the ocean from 15 stories up.

RipCord by iFly – Deck 16
Have you ever wanted to skydive, but still felt too nervous to drop from too great a distance? RipCord by iFly gives you the sensation of skydiving in a controlled air tunnel. An instructor is available to help get you started.

SkyPad – Deck 15
Feel as if you can touch the sky with a bounce on the SkyPad. Located on the back of the boat, you can feel as though you’re jumping into the ocean – but don’t worry, each guest is securely harnessed in.

FlowRider – Deck 15
Test out your surfing or wakeboarding skills on the FlowRider. Instructors are available to help if needed.

North Star – Deck 16
Get a bird’s eye view on the North Star. This enclosed observation capsule lifts guests by a giant arm – slowly – to give sweeping views of the surroundings, all from 300 feet up.

Vitality at Sea Fitness Center – Deck 16
With so many dining options onboard, you feel the need to get a workout in while onboard. The Vitality at Sea Fitness Center is outfitted with ample workout machines, a spin classroom, and daily fitness classes to help you stay in shape while on vacation.

Balcony Stateroom
The balcony staterooms onboard consist of a Royal King bed (can be converted to two twin-sized beds), a sitting area, a bathroom with a shower stall and a balcony large enough for two chairs and a table. There is ample closet and storage space and even a desk if you need to do some work. The tv allows you to cast your own streaming services as well.

Interior Stateroom with Virtual Balcony
The Odyssey of the Seas also features Interior Staterooms with virtual balconies. A flat panel screen illuminates where a window would be in an exterior room with live footage of the outside.
