Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas Set for Inaugural Season, Bookings Now Open
Royal Caribbean is gearing up for the launch of its new ship, Star of the Seas, by opening bookings for the vessel’s inaugural season, set to commence in August 2025. This announcement comes as the construction of the ship progresses steadily.
Debuting with Caribbean Itineraries
Starting its journey from Port Canaveral near Orlando, Florida, Star of the Seas will offer travelers 7-night vacations to the Caribbean. The ship’s itineraries include both Eastern and Western Caribbean routes, featuring stops at picturesque destinations such as Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis; Cozumel, Mexico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Roatan, Honduras; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Exclusive Visits to Perfect Day at CocoCay
Each itinerary will also incorporate a visit to Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, in the Bahamas. This island paradise boasts 13 waterslides, a helium balloon ride, a zip line, and a vast freshwater pool. Additionally, starting January, the island will welcome a new adults-only area, Hideaway Beach, complete with cabanas and a private beach.
Booking Availability and Loyalty Program Perks
Bookings for Star of the Seas are currently open exclusively for members of Royal Caribbean’s loyalty program, the Crown & Anchor Society. From Wednesday, the bookings will be available to all travelers.
Star of the Seas: A Member of the Icon Class
Star of the Seas is the second vessel in Royal Caribbean’s upcoming Icon Class. Like its sister ship, Icon of the Seas, this new ship promises eight distinct neighborhoods, an array of dining venues, seven pools, and various entertainment options. Noteworthy features include the Category 6 waterpark with six waterslides and the Crown’s Edge adventure area.
Port Canaveral: The Homeport for Star of the Seas
Port Canaveral officials have expressed excitement about Star of the Seas joining the port, which is already home to other Royal Caribbean ships, including Wonder of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. The upcoming Utopia of the Seas will also be based out of Port Canaveral.
Capt. John Murray, CEO of Port Canaveral, shared his enthusiasm with the Orlando Sentinel, stating, “Star of the Seas will add even more excitement to the Royal Caribbean fleet that calls Port Canaveral home.”
In conclusion, Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas is poised to offer an exciting new option for Caribbean cruising, with advanced bookings now open. Its inclusion in the Icon Class fleet and homeport at Port Canaveral signifies the cruise line’s commitment to delivering exceptional cruise experiences.
