Royal Jet, based at Abu Dhabi International Airport, has recently expanded its luxury fleet by taking delivery of the world’s only Boeing 737-700 outfitted as a business jet with large cargo doors, registered as A6-RJK (msn 36756). This aircraft, previously under American registration N737AT, was ferried to Abu Dhabi on September 30, 2024, and officially transferred to the UAE register on November 19, 2024. Although it has not yet been deployed for operations with Royal Jet, it joins an existing fleet of eight 737-700(BBJ)s, alongside two Global 5000s, one Global 6000, and two Global 7500s from Bombardier, reported ch-aviation.com.

In a significant move indicating a strategic shift in their fleet composition, Royal Jet has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus Corporate Jets to acquire three ACJ320-200Ns, with an option for an additional six aircraft. This acquisition marks a transition from Royal Jet’s exclusive use of Boeing business jets to incorporating Airbus models, signaling potential changes in fleet dynamics and capacity. The timeline for the delivery of these new Airbus jets has not been disclosed, nor has the company specified whether the new aircraft will replace existing jets or contribute to fleet expansion.

This development is particularly notable as it diversifies Royal Jet’s high-end transport offerings, enhancing its competitive edge in the private aviation market. The unique configuration of the newly acquired B737-700(BBJ C) aligns with Royal Jet’s reputation for providing customized luxury travel solutions, highlighting its commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its clientele. Meanwhile, the planned introduction of Airbus jets to its fleet is set to broaden its operational capabilities and service reach.

Royal Jet’s strategic acquisitions reflect its ongoing commitment to maintaining a leading position in the luxury aviation market, adapting its fleet to the evolving demands of global high-end travel.
