Royal Jet (ROJ), a premier private aviation company based in Abu Dhabi, has officially inaugurated a new base at Kuala Lumpur Subang Airport in Malaysia. This strategic expansion marks Royal Jet’s commitment to catering to the growing demand for private charter flights across the Asia Pacific region. The new base will house a single Global 5000 business jet, enhancing the company’s operational footprint and service offerings in Southeast Asia.

The newly stationed jet, registered as A6-RJD (msn 9621), is a 10.7-year-old aircraft configured to comfortably seat up to 13 passengers. This Global 5000 business jet was relocated to Kuala Lumpur Subang Airport on November 5, following its departure from Abu Dhabi International. The move is a direct response to the rising demand for private aviation services in the region, driven by a strong economic recovery post-pandemic and increased foreign investment in Malaysia and neighboring countries.

Shane O’Hare, President and CEO of Royal Jet, announced the expansion during a recent Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) event in Dubai. He highlighted the company’s plans to broaden its network of bases across the Middle East while simultaneously expanding its portfolio of managed aircraft. This strategic growth is aimed at providing enhanced accessibility and convenience for high-net-worth individuals and businesses seeking premium air travel solutions.

Royal Jet currently operates a diverse fleet of ten UAE-registered aircraft, including eight Boeing Business Jet B737-700(BBJ)s and two Global 5000s. In addition, the company manages a Boeing 787-8(BBJ) registered in Guernsey and three Bombardier Business Aircraft registered in San Marino, which include one Global 6000 and two Global 7500s. This extensive fleet enables Royal Jet to offer a wide range of services tailored to the specific needs of its clientele.

The services provided by Royal Jet encompass aircraft management, charter services, leasing, medical evacuation flights, brokerage, flight support, maintenance, repair, and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) services. Additionally, the company offers aircraft acquisition and sales, VIP aviation consulting, and fixed-base operations (FBO) services at Abu Dhabi International Airport. These comprehensive offerings ensure that clients receive seamless and efficient aviation solutions from a single, trusted provider.

The establishment of the new base in Kuala Lumpur Subang Airport is expected to significantly boost Royal Jet’s presence in the Asia Pacific market. Malaysia’s strategic location and its status as a burgeoning economic hub make it an ideal gateway for business and leisure travelers seeking premium private aviation services. The addition of the Global 5000 at Subang Airport will provide Royal Jet with the capability to serve a wider range of destinations within the region, facilitating smoother and more convenient travel for its clients.

Royal Jet’s expansion aligns with the broader trend of increasing demand for private aviation in Asia Pacific, a sector that has seen substantial growth as businesses and individuals prioritize flexibility, privacy, and efficiency in their travel arrangements. The company’s investment in Kuala Lumpur underscores its dedication to meeting these evolving needs and maintaining its position as a leader in the global private aviation industry.
