Ryanair is set to boost its fleet capacity with the early arrival of 25 Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, scheduled for delivery by October. The move comes ahead of the original timeline, providing the low-cost carrier with additional aircraft as it prepares for the busy travel season.

CEO Michael O’Leary praised Boeing for the accelerated schedule, noting the quality of the deliveries has exceeded expectations. “The quality of what they’re delivering is excellent, so we’re really impressed,” O’Leary said. He emphasized that the added capacity will allow Ryanair to stimulate demand by offering lower airfares, staying true to its ultra-low-cost model.

The early deliveries are a timely boost for Ryanair, which has been focused on expanding its market presence across Europe while maintaining its cost advantage. With strong passenger demand continuing, the new aircraft will help the airline maximize efficiency and meet growth targets.

O’Leary also pointed to Boeing’s progress on certification of other 737 models, saying the Max 7 could be approved by the end of 2025, with the larger Max 10 expected to follow in early 2026. These aircraft will further expand Ryanair’s options for fleet growth and route development in the coming years.

The delivery milestone highlights renewed momentum for Boeing as it works to meet customer commitments and stabilize its production schedules. For Ryanair, the additional aircraft represent both operational flexibility and a stronger position in Europe’s highly competitive budget travel market.
