Ryanair, the low-cost carrier, is set to establish its third seasonal base in Croatia at Dubrovnik airport in early April 2024, furthering its commitment to the Croatian market. Similar to its existing seasonal bases, including the one in Zadar, the Dubrovnik base will operate during the summer months.

As part of the expansion, Ryanair will base two Boeing 737-8-200 aircraft at Dubrovnik airport and introduce 16 new routes, enhancing connectivity to popular destinations across Europe. The newly announced routes include:

  • London Stansted (2x daily)
  • Rome Fiumicino (10x weekly)
  • Stockholm Arlanda
  • Helsinki Vantaa
  • Berlin Brandenburg International
  • Milan Bergamo
  • Paris Beauvais
  • Brussels Charleroi
  • Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden
  • Memmingen
  • Kraków John Paul II International
  • Manchester International
  • Düsseldorf
  • Poznan
  • Oslo Torp
  • Wroclaw (4x weekly each)

In addition to the new routes, Ryanair will increase frequencies on existing summer-only routes from Dublin International (from 4x weekly to 2x daily) and Vienna (from 3x weekly to 8x weekly). The move aims to meet growing demand and provide passengers with expanded travel options during the summer season.

While Ryanair currently does not operate flights to Dubrovnik in the winter season, the establishment of a seasonal base highlights the airline’s strategic focus on capturing summer travel demand in the popular Croatian destination.

Ryanair’s other bases in Croatia include Zagreb Franjo Tuđman, serving as the only year-round destination, and seasonal bases in Osijek, Pula, Rijeka, and Split during the summer months. The expansion into Dubrovnik further solidifies Ryanair’s presence in the Croatian market, providing travelers with increased accessibility to diverse European destinations during the peak travel season.
